Former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle is coming to New Japan Pro Wrestling, and the former RAW Tag Team Champion has set his sights on Hiroshi Tanahashi.
In a video shared on social media, Riddle can be seen training and makes the challenge to the NJPW President/NJPW World Television Champion. He said,
“Konichiwa New Japan! Let me introduce myself. My name is Matthew Riddle, the King of Bros. And I’ve got my sights set on Tanahashi-san, the Ace of New Japan. I’ll see you soon, bro.”

Addressing Riddle’s challenge, Tanahashi said he has no idea who Riddle is but is open to the challenge once he does research into the former WWE Superstar.
Riddle was released from WWE in September 2023 as part of the first wave of talent releases following the launch of TKO Group Holdings.
Tanahashi captured the NJPW World TV title at Wrestle Kingdom 18. He was announced as NJPW’s acting President last month.
