As we previously reported here on eWn, WWE alumnus and Portland Wrestling icon Billy Jack Haynes was arrested on February 8 in Portland, OR after police responded to reports of a shooting. Once they entered the home after getting Haynes to come out several hours later, they found the body of Janette Becraft.
On February 28, Haynes was charged with Murder in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. The charges were filed after his release from the hospital. Haynes was hospitalized following his arrest due to a “a medical condition unrelated to the homicide or his contact with law enforcement.”
Pwinsider is reporting that Haynes was scheduled for a bail hearing on April 3. However, the hearing has been delayed until May 13.
The delay would allow the plaintiff and the defendant more time to prepare and investigate the matter.
Haynes is currently being held at the Multnomah County Detention Center.
