Portland Wrestling icon and WWE alumnus Billy Jack Haynes was arrested on February 8 on suspicion of murdering his wife, Janette Becraft.
Haynes refused to cooperate with officers at first and didn’t come out until two hours after they arrived.
Haynes, real name William Albert Haynes, was later taken into custody at a local hospital where he’s being treated for a medical condition “unrelated to the homicide or his contact with law enforcement.”
Pwinsider is reporting that Haynes has not yet been officially charged with his wife’s murder. However, charges are likely to be filed as soon as he is released from the hospital.
Haynes was a major star in the Portland area as a wrestler and had runs in several major promotions elsewhere as well including WWF, WCW, WCCW, Jim Crockett Promotions, and New Japan Pro Wrestling.
