The belief in WWE is that recently released talent Malcolm Bivens will soon be appearing for AEW.
Bivens was one of ten names cut from the company last month, alongside Dakota Kai, Harland, and Dexter Lumis.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s reported that WWE expects Bivens to join AEW, after rejecting a contract extension from the company.
Bivens had reportedly told WWE last year that he planned on leaving but re-signed after being offered a role in the Diamond Mine.
WWE’s creative team was ‘blindsided’ by the decision to release Bivens considering that he’d been a regular on TV.
For what it’s worth, Bivens said during a recent comedy show that he considers himself ‘done’ with pro wrestling for the time being.
