WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar was booked at this year’s WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view event. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:
They clinched up to start things off. Lesnar caught him with a kick to the gut then swarmed him with strikes. Reigns blocked a german suplex and landed some strikes. Lesnar powered Reigns into the corner and hit some shoulder strikes. Lesnar with a german suplex then more shoulder strikes. Reigns sent Lesnar face first into the ring post.
Reigns with a superman punch then a dive over the top rope. Back in the ring, Reigns hit a spear for 2. Reigns with a superman punch and then another one, but Lesnar stayed up. Reigns went for a sprar, but Lesnar jumped over him and Reigns went into the turnbuckle. Lesnar hit a few german suplexes. Lesnar hit the F5 for a near fall.
Lesnar went for it again, but Reigns blocked it with a guillotine choke. Lesnar with a spinebuster. Lesnar hit an F5 that saw Reigns’ legs take out the official. Reigns with a spear. Paul Heyman tossed the title in between Lesnar and Reigns. The Usos hit a double superkick to Lesnar then Reigns hit him with the title and a new referee counted the fall.
