The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that talent in WWE has been told that the old way of touring will not resume once the COVID-19 pandemic is over.
Of course, WWE hasn’t been touring since the COVID-19 pandemic started. Instead, they’ve been holding closed-set TV events.
Per the report, an indication of this happening is due to WWE releasing several employees in the live event department. Plus, WWE is currently setting record profits without doing live events thanks to TV rights.
House shows hadn’t been making as much money and were starting to be seen as a money loser for WWE.
