Ace Steel was the latest guest on the “Casual Conversations with The Classic” podcast where he spoke about his relationship with CM Punk. AEW hired Steel after Punk joined the promotion and he departed following Punk’s termination from the company. He was also part of the All Out brawl.
During the podcast, Steel discussed Punk’s return to WWE. He said,
“He’s (CM Punk) back where he belongs. He’s back where he belongs. I was excited… I knew it was coming at some point that he should be there and that they would want him. I’m just extremely happy to see him and it’s not just finishing his story, it’s capping his legacy… When he finishes his story, he’s not done, he’s capping his legacy. He loves this business, he’s always loved this business. It broke his heart. But he found the love again and yes, he’s at a down spot right now but he’s the king of comebacks man. So yeah, I’m excited. We’re family so to see family be happy, that’s all I need.”
