A popular WWE ring announcer is headed to NXT.
Fightful Select is reporting that Mike Rome, the current ring announcer for WWE SmackDown, is expected to join NXT shortly to perform ring announcing duties.
Rome served in this capacity for NXT between 2016 and 2019 before moving to RAW and SmackDown.
What this means for current NXT ring announcer Alicia Taylor is not yet known.
The move is expected to occur as early as tonight’s episode of NXT Spring Breakin’ (Night Two).
