There has been a lot of buzz surrounding WWE’s WrestleMania 40 Kickoff event, particularly what WWE will announce regarding the main event.
The belief is that WWE will announce a match between The Rock and Roman Reigns, with The Rock stepping in for Cody Rhodes to challenge the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
While nothing has been confirmed, there is speculation that Rhodes may instead challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title at the event. Some have even suggested that WWE could schedule a match between The Rock and Roman Reigns on the first night and then have Rhodes face Reigns on the second night or vice versa.
During today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that whatever WWE has planned for these three, it will not be a triple threat match as some had previously speculated.
