  • Chase University won the No. 1 Contender’s Bada Bing Bada Boom Battle Royal by last taking out Los Lotharios.
  • Lexis King (Brian Pillman Jr) will debut next week as revealed after a vignette where he spoke about how he never knew his father and refuses to be in his shadow.
  • Carmelo Hayes, Baron Corbin and Dijak all spoke in the ring about how they intend to win the Triple Threat No. 1 contender’s match for later. Ilja Dragunov popped up on the TitanTron to say that Cody Rhodes actually made one more decision when he was guest general manager last week, and that was to insert one more person into the contender’s match. It’s now a Fatal 4-Way and Trick Williams has been added to it. This stuns Melo. Corbin and Dijak tried to sew some seeds of dissension between them, but Hayes isn’t biting just yet. Trick and Melo fought together to take out Corbin and Dijak. There was a moment where it looked like Hayes might go after Trick behind his back, but he didn’t.
  • In the locker room, Fallon Henley spoke to several of the girls in the breakout tournament about how she didn’t win last year, but it was a great opportunity. Tiffany Stratton interrupted. Henley said Stratton is a perfect example of what not to become. Stratton pointed out that she’s more successful, having been NXT women’s champion.
  • NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament First Round Match: Karmen Petrovic defeated Jaida Parker by submission.
  • Lyra Valkyria defeated Tegan Nox by pinfall. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven came out during the match and that led to a distraction with Natalya and Tegan Nox. After the match, Valkyria grabbed a mic and said that she wasn’t going to let anyone get in the way of her title match. All these years, she was working toward being the first women’s champion from Ireland, and Becky Lynch took that away from her. She didn’t beat her to that goal, but at Halloween Havoc, she’ll beat her for the title. Becky Lynch appeared on the TitanTron to say she’s been watching out for her for a while, since the start of her career in NXT, and knows she’s been building momentum lately. She respects her, but she’s better than Valkyria and she’ll fight like her whole life depends on it. When Lyra steps in the ring with the champ, the only way she’ll stand a chance is if she puts aside her feelings of looking at Becky as her hero.
  • Backstage, Trick and Melo talked about how Trick should’ve told Melo about being in the contender’s match. No matter what happens, they’re still friends, but they’re going to give it all they’ve got tonight.
  • Gigi Dolin wants her match with Blair Davenport at Halloween Havoc to be a Lights Out match after spinning the wheel.
  • Von Wagner’s been struggling on the road to recovery after Bron Breakker slammed the steel steps on his head.
  • Shotzi defeated Kiana James by pinfall with a little help from Roxanne Perez.
  • Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell asked Oro Mensah and Lash Legend on the status of Jakara Jackson after she was pulled from the breakout tournament. Noam Dar, on the phone, was acting as though they might have to amputate her arm and overreacting. Akira Tozawa came over to tell them to relay the message that he’s looking for Dar. McKenzie had to cut away to something happening backstage, which was revealed that someone had attacked Trick Williams. He’s been ruled out of the match for later and no one knows who went after him.
  • Dominik Mysterio was jumped by Nathan Frazer backstage. They fought over to the ring before being separated by officials.
  • Shotzi and Roxanne Perez were backstage to spin the wheel. Roxanne will have a Devil’s Playground match with Kiana James at Halloween Havoc.
  • NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament First Round Match: Arianna Grace defeated Brinley Reece by pinfall.
  • Bron Breakker will face Mr. Stone at Halloween Havoc.
  • Triple Threat No. 1 Contender’s Match: Carmelo Hayes defeated Baron Corbin and Dijak by pinfall.
  • To end the show, Lyra Valkyria was shown backstage watching footage of the main event. She tore up a picture of herself with Becky Lynch and hyped herself up to win the title next week. Then, Jade Cargill appeared on the screen, tapping her watch.
