Cody Rhodes is scheduled to face Solo Sikoa on the show, along with a weigh-in segment involving Brock Lesnar & Omos. This is the last episode of Raw before WrestleMania 39.
Miz TV
We begin with The Miz hosting Miz TV, and soon to be host of WrestleMania 39. He introduces his guests Becky Lynch, Lita, and Trish Stratus. The Miz asks Lynch what it felt like to resort to calling in reinforcements to take on Damage CTRL. She replies by saying he is an insecure man with tiny balls. She called on Trish & Lita because there is nobody else she respects more to have her back. The Miz asks Lita & Trish why they returned to be Becky’s backup. Lita says she doesn’t feel that. She feels like one-half of the tag team champions, and here comes Damage CTRL to interrupt this.
Bayley says she is sick and tired of them thinking this is just another match for them. For Damage CTRL, this is their life. Trish & Lita only meant something twenty years ago, but Trish retorts by saying Lita holding that title makes her mean something now. For Bayley this would have been a dream match, but now the dream is about taking out the top woman and two Hall of Famers in the same night. Lynch says Bayley and the rest are doing nothing, and she thought it was over at WarGames and when they took the titles, but clearly this has to end at WrestleMania.
#1. Becky Lynch (w/ Lita & Trish Stratus) vs. IYO Sky (w/ Bayley & Dakota Kai) — Winner: Becky Lynch
Seth Rollins isn’t happy he got knocked out twice by Logan Paul. Mustafa Ali steps in to help him see the positive side of things. He should be grateful and think more “postive-Ali”. Rollins laughs at that. He should put it on a shirt. Seth reminds him of a long time ago when Ali was begging him for a match while he was the United States Champion. He finally gets his wish tonight when he faces Rollins one-on-one.
#2. Seth Rollins vs. Mustafa Ali — Winner: Seth Rollins with the Curb Stomp
Seth Rollins says if Logan Paul beats him at WrestleMania, he will be the joke. April 1st happens to be Logan’s birthday. The WWE Universe will serenade him all night long, but not in the way he wants. They sing Seth’s song and lets Logan Paul know what he’s up against. See you at WrestleMania.
Baron Corbin feels embarrassed he hasn’t got a match at WrestleMania. Chelsea Green doesn’t need Adam Pearce to mansplain why she hasn’t got a match. Sonya Deville thinks he is intimidated by her because she did a better job than him. He suggests that Green & Deville team up tonight to wrestle a qualifying match to get on the WrestleMania card. Corbin isn’t happy that Pearce gave them an opportunity, but not him.
Lesnar & Omos Weigh-In
Omos & MVP are out first. MVP says this is one last opportunity to see the specimen that is the Nigerian Giant. He gives credit to Brock Lesnar because many times he stepped in the ring at WrestleMania and conquered some of the greatest the business has ever seen. He reels off some of the opponents he has beaten, including The Undertaker. MVP says he cannot suplex or F-5 Omos, so he will not defeat him.
Omos steps on the scales and weighs in at 410 Ibs. Brock Lesnar enters. When he gets in the ring, Brock attacks Omos with everything he has, but is stopped by a Big Boot. Lesnar escapes to the outside as Omos holds the scales on his shoulder.
Finn Balor says Edge believes he was baptized in the Hell In A Cell. There is nothing more dangerous than a caged demon. Do whatever you need to do to summon his demons, but he doesn’t need to, because they are always there. You just have to look for it.
#3. Braun Strowman, Ricochet & Street Profits vs. Chad Gable, Otis & The Viking Raiders (w/ Valhalla) — Winners: Strowman, Ricochet & Street Profits
Cody Rhodes asks why it is important to wrestle The Bloodline’s enforcer less than a week before WrestleMania. Are they asking if he has earned it? Cody believes he has, while Sikoa is not ready. He is going to WrestleMania to defeat Roman Reigns and become the undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
We get a WrestleMania ad parody of The Bloodline doing the restaurant scene from Goodfellas. How am I funny?
We see Austin Theory stood in the ring earlier today, and he says he believes John Cena exposed himself on the mic because he can’t see the future in front of his eyes. He tried giving him the reality check that nobody believes in him. Cena is probably wondering why Theory stands all alone in the ring. He doesn’t do this for the WWE Universe or to be the next John Cena. He does this for himself. Austin Theory will make John Cena believe in him, while making the WWE Universe stop believing in him.
#4. [WM39 Showcase Qualifying Match] Candice LeRae & Mia Yim vs. Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville — Winners: Green & Deville
Cathy Kelley talks to Paul Heyman, who says that Cody Rhodes fears no Tribal Chief because he is not ready. He says Solo Sikoa is ready to beat and weaken Cody Rhodes before his match. It’s not a matter of competing. Roman Reigns is ready, and that is the difference between him and Cody Rhodes. Reigns became the Tribal Chief and left The Big Dog behind, while Cody is still the same man he always was.
He will only be ready to have a beating inflicted on him tonight by Solo Sikoa, so when he enters the ring on Sunday night, he will be ready to lose to Roman Reigns. Cody will be ready for when he is disappointed in his defeat, and to acknowledge Roman Reigns in the main event this Sunday at WrestleMania.
Dominik moans and whines about what Rey Mysterio did to him on SmackDown before the next match. He wishes Eddie was his real father and that he never existed. The Mysterio name will be his at WrestleMania.
#5. Rey Mysterio vs. Damian Priest (w/ Dominik Mysterio) — Winner: No Contest
Dominik Mysterio got involved by attacking his Father. Legado Del Fantasma enters to even up the numbers for Rey against the Judgment Day.
Superstars like The Good Brothers, Johnny Gargano, Rick Boogs, Elias, and others, find out they will participate in this year’s Andre the Giant Battle Royal.
KO & Sami Zayn say they are on the same page to follow through on their mission to become the undisputed Tag Team Champions by defeating The Usos at WrestleMania.
