Here are results for the Impact Wrestling episode airing December 17th, 2019. Check the link if you missed last week’s results: December 10th
#1. Tenille Dashwood vs. Jordynne Grace – Winner: Jordynne Grace
Respect is shared with a handshake. Taya Valkyrie sneak attacks Jordynne, and Dashwood helps her out. Grace throws Taya over her shoulder on to her head, and the champ quickly decides to give it up.
– Moose comes across Rhino after exiting the elevator, and tells him he watched his match against Rob Van Dam. At Slammiversary.. he beat RVD, so he could’ve given some pointers. Food for thought, but his spear did what his gore couldn’t. Moose tries walking off, but Rhino gores him to the floor!
– The North talk to Willie Mack about Rich Swann. They know Rich is a star, but Willie’s gotta’ let him go if he wants to reach his true potential. Swann walks in and tells them otherwise, so The North fails to drive a wedge between the best friends.
#2. Daga vs. TJP (w/ Fallah Bahh) – Winner: TJP with the STF
That was a great match. Desi Hit Squad attack TJP and Fallah Bahh immediately after. Daga comes to their aid and takes them out, but the returning Shera chokeslams him hard! Gama Singh looks happier than he has shown lately.
– Brian Cage runs in to Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes making out. RVD wishes him luck at Hard To Kill. To him though, how hard will it be? He knows how to counter his own moves. RVD & Forbes keep making out as Cage looks on frustrated.
Rob Vam Dam & Katie Forbes Provoke The Machine
Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes make their way to the ring. Katie introduces him as the “man of my dreams who makes me scream”. RVD doesn’t know what all the fuss is about, but while he’s got the fans attention he might as well make something of it. They keep making out in the ring and it’s probably a bit much. After all that, RVD says he is making a stand. He’s claiming the long overdue credit for inspiring every wrestler who has been in the ring tonight, but also for giving them their entire moveset. And by giving them.. he means being totally ripped off by them.
He sees it in all of them, and especially his next opponent Brian Cage. Some are saying it will be a dream match, and I’m sure it is for Brian Cage.. he’s the biggest RVD mark of all. That’s enough for Cage, who makes his way to the ring. He gets the upper hand at first, but Forbes helps out her man and holds the chair for the Van Terminator.. oh but wait, RVD chooses not to do it. Instead, he just dropkicks the chair in to Cage’s face. Clearly we weren’t deserving of more.
More Backstage Stuff
– Rosemary has found Suzie and asks if she’s lost. Suzie is waiting for James Mitchell, but she feels there’s something else to find. Rosemary asks if there’s anything she’s forgotten. Mitchell rushes in and gets Suzie away from her, and tells her she’s not her friend. He’s had enough of Rosemary and her constant interference. He demands she stays out of her business, and outta’ nowhere Havok rushes in and wails on Rosemary; choking her against the wall. Suzie screams under all the stress, and perhaps something has awoken in her?
– Taya Valkyrie sits down with Kiera Hogan and Madison Rayne. Kiera tells her they were minding their own business and are not friends. The champ says she needs help, as she didn’t realize how difficult it would be to be this popular. Madison & Kiera ask what’s in it for them if they do help. Taya loosely promises they will both get Knockout Championship title shots if they help her get past Hard To Kill; so Kiera and Madison say they’ll think about it.
#3. Rich Swann (w/ Willie Mack) vs. Ethan Page (w/ Josh Alexander) – Winner: Ethan Page by DQ after Willie Mack’s interference
– Moose and Rhino brawl in the locker room. D’Lo Brown and some of the wrestlers break it up.
Before the next match, Johnny Swinger joins Don Callis & Josh Mathews at the commentary table.
#4. Joey Ryan vs. Acey Romero – Winner: Joey Ryan with the Super Kick
– Tessa Blanchard’s not worried about Sami Callihan. He knows what’s gonna happen at Hard To Kill, she will make history and become the greatest World Champion Impact has ever seen.
– Michael Elgin walks in to the locker room and just takes Eddie Edwards’ stuff. Wow.
#5. [X-Division Championship] Ace Austin vs. Petey Williams – Winner: Ace Austin with The Fold
– Trey gets in Ace Austin’s face and tells him if he ever says his mom’s name again, he will break his neck. So Austin says it anyways and Trey attacks him, but officials are quickly there to split them up.
Sami Callihan Exposes The Truth
– So, The Draw Sami Callihan came out here tonight to expose the diamond princess Tessa Blanchard for exactly what she is.. a fake, a phony, just like every person watching. At Hard To Kill .. a woman, and himself, a man, will make history when they face for the World Championship for the very first time. And that’s the problem, you all want equality in 2019, but to him this is just another match while the fans want to talk about gender. He spits in Tessa’s face just like he spits in any other man’s face. It’s not intergender wrestling, it’s just pro wrestling. Yet the fans boo him and cheer her, but they’ll always have more in common with him because she’s been spoiled and handed everything. She was raised by Magnum TA and given every opportunity to succeed.
While he? Callihan had to scratch and claw for everything to become the face of Impact Wrestling, and he did all that by himself. And he never needed his daddy to call someone to get a tryout. Tessa Blanchard enters, but Madman Fulton attacks her from behind. Ken Shamrock’s out to even the odds. They fight to the backstage area and through the fans. Sami & Tessa fight in the streets and cross the road. This fight could go on all night, but the show comes to a close.
