Impact Wrestling Results (7/28/2022)

#1. Eddie Edwards vs. Ace Austin — Winner: Eddie Edwards

Impact announce that Rey Horus will face Bandido in a AAA special attraction match at Emergence.

– Heath says Honor No More took out Rhino and he’s out for months, so if they want to go guerilla warfare style, they better watch out for the Wake Up Call.

– Alex Shelley wants Josh Alexander to come out of his match tonight with Shera completely unscathed because he wants him at his best at Emergence.

#2. Laredo Kid & Trey Miguel vs. Johnny Swinger & Zicky Dice — Winners: Laredo Kid & Miguel

Bhupinder Gujjar still thinks Brian Myers is ducking him. Crazzy Steve pops up and says he is impressed that someone accepts a challenge from Black Taurus. Myers says that yeah, he likes a challenge, but we have to do this officially by going through Scott D’Amore. I believe Steve already did that, so they will see him next week.

#3. Tiffany Nieves vs. Jada Stone — Winner: Nieves

Here comes Killer Kelly! She’s arrived. She stares a hole through Nieves, until she gets pushed and retaliates. Kelly boots Nieves in the face and almost knocks her out with a submission. She drops Stone too. The Knockouts division has been put on notice, and Steelz isn’t happy about it.

– Eric Young says Deaner & Doering should always be ready for the unexpected. Deaner says they will take out Kushida, but Young says no, one thing at a time. Motor City Machine Guns first, and Kushida later.

– We get comments from many in Impact, talking about Alex Shelley’s influence and his upcoming title shot. There is also a surprise cameo from Johnny Gargano, who tells us how great Alex Shelley really is.

#4. Josh Alexander vs. Shera — Winner: Josh Alexander via submission

Moose is asked if he has formed an alliance with Steve Maclin. Read his lips… he and Maclin are not a thing.

– Meanwhile, Eddie Edwards tells Honor No More that Impact is trying to screw them. They walk into Scott D’Amore in the corridor and ask him if he’s doing anything about Heath. Taven says they pinned The Good Brothers two weeks ago and deserve a tag title shot. As they are yelling at him, Maria frantically tells them that something is wrong with Mike Bennett. D’Amore doesn’t seem too fussed about that occurrence, and tells Eddie it’s tough being a leader.

– Jessicka is getting confused because she’d like to join up with Chelsea Green & Deonna Purrazzo for mimosa’s, but Rosemary explains why that isn’t a good idea. Taya Valkyrie gets her away from that.

– Raj Singh is upset because he thinks Alexander cheated in his match with Shera. He wants justice. The venue blacks out, and when the lights come back on, Sami Callihan is stood behind him. He drops Singh with a piledriver, before grabbing a microphone. He doesn’t care if Moose and Maclin are teaming together, they both have what’s coming to them.

The broadcast starts cutting out because Honor No More is damaging the production truck. I don’t know how much longer we’ll be able to bring you results if this keeps happening. When we come back from break, Scott D’Amore tells them they can have a #1 contender match against Bullet Club at Emergence, but if they lose they will have to disband.

#5. Rich Swann vs. Kushida — Winner: Kushida with the Hoverboard Lock submission
