Impact Wrestling Results (8/25/2022)

#1. [Knockuts Tag Team Championship] VXT, Deonna Purrazzo & Chelsea Green (c) vs. Mia Yim & Jordynne Grace — Winners: VXT

– Eric Young says that they showed us they are powerful. They reunited, pushed back and got to taste the sweet taste of victory. But sugar isn’t the sweetest. Their opponents want to call themselves Time Machine, but it doesn’t matter whether they belong in the past, present or future. Violent By Design are anywhere, and everywhere, and their time is up.

#2. Mike Bennett (w/ Maria Kanellis) vs. Karl Anderson — Winner: Karl Anderson with Doc Gallows’ help

– Scott D’Amore catches up with The Good Brothers when they get through the curtain. He thinks it’s time they shut up Honor No More by beating them in a title match next week. Karl Anderson says that would be just… too… sweet.

– After Tasha Steelz expresses her disappointment that Savannah Evans is injured, Killer Kelly grabs her from behind and almost chokes her out.

Before the next match, the Digital Media Champion Brian Myers joins the commentary team to call the action.

#3. Jason Hotch vs. Bhupinder Gujjar — Winner: Bhupinder Gujjar with a Spear from the turnbuckle

In the post match, Brian Myers attacks Gujjar and tells Scott Armstrong to count the pinfall. Gujjar fires back and pins Myers. Armstrong counts a quick pinfall and Gujjar holds up the Digital Media title. This was not an official match and Myers is still the champion, but Gujjar takes the title anyway.

– VXT says Gail Kim is picking favorites again because she isn’t giving either of them a Knockouts World title match. Since her debut, Masha Slamovich has been on a role, so next week, Deonna Purrazzo will face her and the winner challenges Jordynne Grace for the title at Bound For Glory.

#4. Vincent vs. Josh Alexander — Winner: Josh Alexander

The #1 contender Eddie Edwards is here. He congratulates the champ for being victorious. It has been decided that they will face each for the title at Bound For Glory. There is no escaping the fact they are opponents, but it doesn’t mean they have to be enemies. There is a big war happening which takes advantage of great wrestlers like them. The crowd gets what Eddie is trying to do and boos heavily. He ignores it and says he chose his side with Honor No More, who stood up for this industry and against Impact Wrestling.

These ignorant animals you see out here, they have clearly chosen their side. They support the machine 100%. You know why? Because they love to see great men and women reduced to their own pitiful level, they can’t get enough. So Josh, the last question is what side will he be on? Which side will he choose? There is no reason that he and Eddie can do battle at Bound For Glory, but stand together in this war.

If they stand together and no matter who walks out of BFG, they will both win. But think about it, if he doesn’t do this, there will be much bigger conseque… Heath drops Eddie down to the mat! He’d heard enough. Alexander simply smiles and walks away.

– Backstage, Moose & Steve Maclin argue because their plan didn’t go the right way at Emergence. Sami Callihan attacks them from behind and they fight. It soon turns sour for Sami because Moose & Maclin wrap him up in barbed wire and leave him laying.

#5. Alisha vs. Jessicka (w/ Rosemary) — Winner: Jessicka

Sami Callihan stumbles to the ring still wrapped in barbed wire and covered in blood. He’s pissed off and challenges Moose & Maclin to “Barbed Wire Massacre” at Victory Road. Whoa!

#6. Violent By Design’s Eric Young, Deaner & Joe Doering vs. Time Machine’s Kushida, Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin  — Winner: Time Machine
