WWE SmackDown Results For September 17th, 2015: Reigns And Ambrose vs. Sheamus and Rollins

Welcome to Thursday night SmackDown, Seth Rollins walks down to the ring to open the show. Rollins cut a promo about how he will make history this Sunday at Night of Champions when he defeats both Sting and John Cena. Rollins said that he will be teaming with Sheamus against Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose tonight. Sheamus walks down to the ring and threatened to cash in his MITB briefcase this Sunday at Night of Champions. Rollins then made fun of Sheamus for the way he looks. Sheamus promised that Rollins will not make the main event tonight if Rollins continued to make fun of him. He said that he wants to get along with him so when they wrestle in the main event, they win.

-Commercial Break-

Tag Team Match: Naomi and Sasha Banks vs. Paige and Becky Lynch.

Lynch and Naomi start things off. Lynch with a shoulder block then hit a dropkick to Naomi. This leads to Banks getting the tag, but she ran into a series of arm drags. Banks landed a back elbow then put the boots to her as we go to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back with Naomi and Banks in control of Lynch. Moments later, Lynch made her comeback and got the hot tag to Paige. This leads to Paige hitting a series of knees to the face of Naomi. Paige with a superkick to the face of Naomi then she went for the PTO, but Banks got on the apron to distract her. Naomi rolled her up for the win.

Winners: Banks and Naomi.

-Commercial Break-

The New Day is in the ring and cuts a hilarious promo about how they are trying to save the tables by having a petition to save the tables. The New Day says if The Dudley’s put them through a table then they will have karma for life. “Save the tables,” “Save the tables,” “Save the tables,” “Save the tables.” Here comes The Dudley Boyz…

Singles Match: Devon vs. Kofi Kingston

Devon with a series of strikes to the face of Kingston.Xavier Woods jumped up on the apron, which distracted Devon and Kingston rolled him up for the win.

Winner: Kingston

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Big Show vs. Cesaro.

Big Show controlled most of the match with chops and big man moves. Cesaro attempted to make a comeback with a series of uppercuts. Cesaro was caught by The Big Show and then Show connected with the KO punch for the win. Winner: Big Show. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose cuts a promo backstage about how this Sunday they’ll have a tag team partner and they will take care of business. As far as tonight, they’re in store for a war against Sheamus and Rollins.

-Commercial Break-

Singles Match: Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler.

They lock up, Owens with a power slam then a back splash for 2. Owens hit a DDT to send us to break.

We’re back from break with Ziggler making his comeback with a quick roll up. He ducked a clothesline and went for a backslide that led to him hitting the fameasser for 2. Ziggler went for the Zig Zag, but blocked. Ziggler caught the boot of Owens and hit a spike DDT. Owens rolled to the floor, Ziggler followed. Owens sent Ziggler back first into the barricade.

Owens rolled into the ring, but Ryback ran down to the ring and attacked him.

Winner: Owens via DQ.

Owens managed to walk to the stage after the DQ was called. Owens talk trash from the stage to Ryback to end the segment.

-Commercial Break-

Team Bella is all dressed up and is about to enter the room for Bellabration. She opened up a bottle of champagne. There’s no one in the room. Brie Bella told Nikki that no one showed up. Charlotte walked in and told her that she needs to get used to being alone because come Sunday, she will lose her Divas Championship. Adam Rose walks in and tells her that her party sucks. She went to throw the cake in his face, but he walked away and hit Brie and Alicia Fox in the face.

Tag Team Match: Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose vs. Sheamus and Seth Rollins.

Ambrose and Sheamus started things off, Ambrose with a series of clotheslines that led to Sheamus rolling out of the ring. Rollins attempted to get involved but was thrown to the floor. Ambrose took them out with a dive to send us to break.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back from break with Rollins and Sheamus in control of Ambrose. Moments later, Ambrose made his comeback and got the hot tag to Reigns. This led to Reigns hitting a series of clotheslines to Rollins. Reigns then hit a spine buster to Rollins, thus popping the crowd. Reigns went for the superman punch, but Rollins rolled to the apron, used the top rope to his advantage. Rollins with a superkick then went to tag in Sheamus, but Sheamus tried to jump off the apron. Rollins grabbed his MITB briefcase and tagged in Sheamus. took him out with a dive, Reigns hit the superman punch, and Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds for the win.

Winners: Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose

Post-match, a video package played to recap the Wyatts – Reigns and Ambrose feud. The Wyatts appeared on the titantron. Bray Wyatts said that in the end they all fall down while Braun Strowman told them to run.
