AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland & Brian Cage were also advertised to take on Hangman Page, HOOK & Rob Van Dam.
According to a report from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, there were several changes made to the show due to injuries and other factors. The backstage atmosphere was described as “very chaotic.”
