As we previously reported here on eWn, Mike Santana parted ways with AEW after nearly five years with the company, as he was removed from the roster last week.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Santana hasn’t been happy in AEW for a “long time.”
Santana had reportedly been wanting a singles push, but AEW President Tony Khan didn’t seem interested in the idea.
After Santana beat his former tag team partner Ortiz on October 25, 2023, he wasn’t used on AEW TV again.
