According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former UFC and Bellator MMA fighter Chael Sonnen had discussions about coming in to work for Impact Wrestling.
Per the report, Sonnen would have been put in a feud with Ken Shamrock.
Obviously that didn’t happen as Sonnen decided against it. Aside from MMA, Sonnen does have some ties to pro wrestling as he worked as a commentator for GFW.
