We reported last week here on eWn that AEW President Tony Khan gave Shawn Spears a “Stone Cold Stunner” after AEW Dynamite went off the air. AEW referee Aubrey Edwards also hit Spears with a Stunner.
When a fan asked Tony Khan on Twitter if the segment was scripted, he said it was not and he had no plans to do it but Spears basically forced it upon him. He said,
“Dude, I had no idea that was happening. Cody called me out, I went to thank the crowd, Nick asked me if I wanted to do a stunner, I said no, then Spears was screaming my name and calling for it, then I heard people in the crowd calling for it, and at that point, I had no choice.”
