WWE is set to welcome back Kofi Kingston in the near future, aligning with the upcoming Money in the Bank 2023 pay-per-view event on July 1st and SummerSlam 2023 on August 5th.
Following an ankle injury sustained during a SmackDown segment in early March, Kingston was sidelined. This injury occurred during an out-of-ring maneuver, compelling his withdrawal from a fatal five-way Intercontinental Title number one contender’s match scheduled for the subsequent week on SmackDown. Kingston underwent surgery a few weeks later.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Kingston’s recovery is progressing well after his ankle surgery. He is now being included in show advertisements, although these events are still several months away.
