The following is from our play-by-play coverage of the WWENXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day event:
Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals Match: Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon vs. Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez
Gonzalez and Blackheart started things off. Gonzalez got the advantage early. Blackheart got the tag to Moon after Kai was tagged in. The faces worked over Kai with quick tags. This lasted for a few minutes as they worked over the left knee of Kai. Gonzalez got the tag and beat down Moon by tossing her around the ring.
Gonzalez sent Blackheart back first into the plexi glass. Moon took out Gonzalez with a big boot. Kai hit a drop kick to Moon from behind. Moon fought back and went to the top rope and hit her finisher to Gonzalez for a near fall, but Kai distracted the referee. There were a few nearfalls with Blackheart and Kai. Blackheart hit a neck breaker off the top rope to Gonzalez.
Blackheart took out Kai with an outside dive. Moon with a code breaker off the top rope to Gonzalez then Blackheart hit a sunset flip powerbomb for a near fall. Moon took out Kai with a dive off the top rope to the floor. Gonzalez hit a GTS to Blackheart for a near fall. Gonzalez tossed Moon onto the ramp, which is now elevated and goes right to the ring. Blackheart took out Gonzalez with a dive off the middle rope. Gonzalez tossed Blackheart off the top rope then hit her finisher for the win.
Winners: Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez
