Last August, WWE announced that NXT UK would be going on hiatus in September 2022 ahead of the reported launch of NXT Europe in 2023.
However, those plans are on hold as the company is about to be acquired by the Endeavor Group later this year with the plan to merge with the UFC to form a new company.
Pwinsider is reporting that plans to launch NXT Europe are still on the docket, but those within WWE don’t expect anything to realistically move forward until early 2024, after the acquisition is made.
It is said that the company has plans in mind for the talents and coaches involved. Sha Samuels’ name has been bounced around as one of the coaches.
The report added that there will be a Performance Center for talents to train at and the expectation is that it will not be centered in London.
