AEW Collision Results (10/14/2023)
Adam Copeland opens the show with a microphone. It’s wet and cold outside, but let’s heat it up in here. Earlier this week, Christian Cage had a lot of deluded things to say, so Adam feels he should come out here to address it. Of course, this brings out Cage with Luchasaurus, Nick Wayne, and several members of security. Christian tells the fans to shut up while he conducts business. They tell him he sucks.
Christian says Collision is his show, and Adam feels he can just waltz here and take this airtime. The security is for Adam’s protection, not his. Christian has a main event to get ready for, so he asks Adam nicely to get out of here. If he sticks around for much longer in AEW, it will be like he is from Toledo, Ohio, because he will be known for nothing. He is going to beat Bryan Danielson tonight, and prove he is the best wrestler in the world.
Speaking of which, Danielson appears with a microphone. He is happy to hear he wants a fair fight, because he talked to Tony Khan, and he says Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne are banned from ringside. They will find out between them who is the better man, and who deserves to be the TNT Champion. Ricky Starks and Big Bill, the new Tag Team Champions, show up to let them know they are all taking up their time.
Excuse Ricky for breaking up this bash, but he couldn’t let it go on any longer. He has no respect for Adam for Bryan, but he does for Christian. He stands behind security (former Impact stars Jake Crist & KM) to throw out some insults, but Adam Copeland fires back with him stealing things from The Rock.
FTR arrives to say something. They say that 7 days ago, doctors told them they were banged up, but they defended the titles, anyway. It was the wrong choice, but it still does not make Starks & Bill the best tag team in the world. FTR will earn their way back to a title match. Saturday is fight night. Danielson likes that, so he tells Cage they should have their TNT title match right now. Copeland, Danielson and FTR take out Cage’s security, as the heels get out of dodge.
#1. [ROH World TV Championship] Samoa Joe (c) vs. Willie Mack – Winner: Samoa Joe retains
CJ Perry has been getting angry inside, having to sit back and watch others enjoy her spotlight. She came to AEW to claim gold and make stars. If anyone backstage needs some advice, come talk to her. Action Andretti is quick to let her know that he would love it if she managed him. He asks her to call him sometime.
#2. Christopher Daniels vs. Juice Robinson (w/ Bullet Club Gold) – Winner: Juice Robinson
After the match, Jay White gives Juice Robinson a diamond ring, and he uses it to punch Christopher Daniels in the face. Robinson says that after he wins the battle royal, he is going to win the real Diamond Dynamite Ring, take it to the pawnshop, and sell that sucker. Jay White tells MJF this is happening because he and his paid cronies took him out. His world will come crumbling down when Jay White is crowned the new AEW World Heavyweight Champion.
#3. Kyle Fletcher vs. Boulder – Winner: Kyle Fletcher
The former JAS are tired of The Acclaimed and want nothing more than to take the Trios titles from them. The champions are ready for the challenge.
