AEW Dynamite Results (6/28/2023)

#1. Jon Moxley (w/ BCC) vs. Tomohiro Ishii — Winner: Jon Moxley

After the match, Moxley brushes past Kingston as a sign of blatant disrespect.

Adam Cole is here. He seems to have recovered from his illness. MJF shows up and asks him to imagine what they could do together as a team. They could run this entire company. So, how about they bond a bit this weekend in his car like bros? He would appreciate that. Adam Cole accepts, which gets MJF excited. Cole is going to say hello to a few people and he will get back to him later. But wait, MJF has a gift for him. “Better than you bay bay!” merch! Only on shopaew.com! – Cole facepalms.

Backstage, Eddie Kingston gets in Moxley’s face. After Moxley walks away, Renee Paquette gets angry and tells Kingston to sort this out.

#2. Orange Cassidty, El Hijo Del Vingo & Keith Lee vs. Jericho Appreciation Society (Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard & Angelo Parker) — Winners: Cassidy, Vikingo & Lee

Page & The Young Bucks issue an open challenge and the Dark Order swiftly accept despite Hangman’s reluctance.

Chris Jericho is tapping in to The Painmaker tonight. Jericho & Sting should be on TBS and commented on by Schiavone like it should have all those years ago. Sting knows about being dark and desperate when your back is against the wall. You want to get dirty? Let’s get dirty. He’s got all the time he wants with The Painmaker.

#3. Dark Order’s Evil Uno, John Silver & Alex Reynolds vs. The Elite’s Hangman Page & The Young Bucks — Winners: The Elite with the Buckshot Lariat on Silver

The BCC show up to take out The Elite. Dark Order does nothing to help out. Eddie Kingston rushes to the ring, but he too succumbs to the numbers game. Jon Moxley wants a Blood & Guts match with The Elite on July 19th in Boston.

Roderick Strong warns Adam Cole about MJF, but he already knows not to trust him. He’s a maniac. MJF pops up and asks Cole to leave with him because this place sucks. Party time bay bay! Let’s go.

Jack Perry says the fans have ruined his theme so we’ll never hear it again. He’s still young. He’s still cashing checks, and he’s still banging the hottest chick in this entire place (Anna Jay). He talks about Hook and how meaningless his title is. It only means something to his family, which is why he will take it from him. When he gets a hold of him, he will beat the living s*** out of him… Hook’s music plays. Jack runs away from Hook. We eventually get a camera backstage. Perry jumps in a car and they speed off before Hook can get him.

#4. Ruby Soho vs. Alexia Nicole — Winner: Ruby Soho with the Lockjaw.

Ruby insults Adam Cole & Britt Baker, saying they will probably have weak kids. Last year, she barely beat her in the finals on her best day. Next week, she is taking her opportunity to be a two-time winner away and leave her with nothing.

#5. [Anything Goes Tornado Tag] ‘The Painmaker’ Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara vs. Sting & Darby Allin — Winner: Sting & Allin via submission with a Scorpion Deathlock on Jericho
