Here are the results for the episode of Impact Wrestling airing September 8th, 2020. Check the link if you missed the previous episode here: Edwards vs. Young

World Class Champion

The “World Class Maniac”, Impact World Champion Eric Young opens the show. He says we are looking at a world class man, a world class athlete, a world class professional wrestler. Most importantly, a world class maniac. Rich Swann beat him at Slammiversary and he had to take immediate action. The ball started rolling and went right over him, then Eddie Edwards. All of this was by design, and what we’re looking at is 100% inevitable. Out comes Alisha Edwards.

She tells him he might be a World Champ to some people, but to her… he is a coward. All he does is injure people. Eddie will come back and take what belongs to him. Alisha has seen it all: broken friendships, Eddie almost losing his eye, and a douchebag trying to split up their marriage. It’s only a matter of time til he comes back to whip his ass. Let’s make this personal. They have a little one at home… and Eddie can’t even hold her or go on walks with her. Eric Young simply does not care and gets slapped for it. He grabs Alisha and almost hits the piledriver, but Tommy Dreamer runs out with a kendo stick and makes the save.

EY doesn’t like that. Dreamer knows what it’s like to piledriver a woman, but Young doesn’t know what it’s like to hurt someone like he did. When he left this company, many stayed to make sure there was something for him to come back too. Dreamer wants him to take him out and end his career tonight. It ain’t about the title, and he will do it in any match he wants. Young says he will end his career tonight, and put him on the pile like the rest of ’em.

Moose is on the way to somewhere via plane. He is looking for the man who stole he TNA World Championship, EC3.

– Rosemary is with Johnny Bravo and Taya Valkyrie. It’s real love between Bravo & Rosemary, and Taya is excited to take care of their wedding. It will take a while to plan all of this, but it will be perfect in the end.

#1. Chris Bey vs. TJP — Winner: TJP

– It’s time for Madison Rayne’s Locker Room Talk with Kylie Rae & Susie… and Johnny Swinger’s back! He says Wrestle House was fantastic and everyone loved him there. Kylie Rae & Susie enter and sit down, and Madison asks Kylie if she went to Wrestle House to dodge the Knockouts Champion? No, that wasn’t the case. Madison asks Kylie if she really knows Susie, or “Su”, all that well. Purrazzo and Kimber Lee enter and challenge them to a tag team match, which they happily accept. Rayne’s had enough of Rae & Susie and tells them to go.

– Johnny Bravo is on the phone asking someone for ice sculptures and other things for his wedding. Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz interrupt and ask him if they have an invitation. Bravo says they should ask Taya, but they don’t like the fact she is arranging everything. He needs to be a man, so they want to teach him how to stand on his own. To be a good husband, you need to learn to be a man. They have a point… he does need to stand up to Taya Valkyrie.

– Brian Myers says Willie Mack may not know who he is, but he’s wrestled in all states and traveled the world 27 times; sharing the ring with legends and Hall of Famers. He needs to understand one thing, there is a time honored tradition in this business. You shake his hand and respect him for paving the way, so he wants Willie to show how professional he can be.

Mack enters and says he didn’t come out to shake hands or be professional, he’d rather do the opposite. Impact management granted him a rematch… which is scheduled for right now. Myers isn’t ready to go, so he will have to do this in his street clothes.

#2. Willie Mack vs. Brian Myers — Winner: Brian Myers with a Jumping DDT

– Jordynne Grace is on hand for a backstage interview and she’s still pissed off about Tenille Dashwood looking for a title shot after being away for so long. She knocks on Dashwood’s door and Caleb Konley answers. Konley says he’s her personal photographer now? Not seen him for a long while (since NWA Powerrr); it was rumored he was portraying Suicide.

– Taya Valkyrie gets in Hogan & Steelz’s faces about her interfering with Bravo’s wedding. She tells them to mind their own business, but Tasha Steelz doesn’t take orders from anyone. Valkyrie is the longest reigning Knockouts Champion of all time, so let’s settle this in the ring tonight.

Impact Wrestling Results September 8th 2020

#3. [World Tag Team Championship] Motor City Machine Guns (c) vs. The Rascalz, Dez & Wentz — Winners: Motor City Machine Guns

The North attack MCMG immediately after the match! They fight back as Madman Fulton & Ace Austin make their way in to have a go at the champions. While they aren’t technically together, Ethan Page says it’s best if each team gets one. The Good Brothers show up to even things up, clearing house in short order. Rascalz help out too, flying through the air to take out The North, Madman Fulton & Austin. The tag team division is looking good right now, as Motor City Machine Guns have four possible contenders to their titles.

– Rob Van Dam & Katie Forbes want to deliver some good news. The series premiere for the “Whole F’n Talk Show” is here next week! Don’t miss it.

– Sami Callihan says the story of life is a story of numbers. Last week, he went one-on-one with Rob Van Dam and won. Why? Because he’s one of the best in the world today. There’s always one common variable lately. When he has someone’s number, someone else seems to have his. It makes him think… maybe Katie Forbes is too much in general? Next week, Katie Forbes and RVD will have their debut of the Whole F’n Talk Show. He promises you, he will not hack their show… because he has other plans. Thumbs up, thumbs down. You got it!

#4. Tasha Steelz (w. Kiera Hogan) vs. Taya Valkyrie (w/ Johnny Bravo) — Winner: Taya Valkyrie with the Road to Valhalla

Steelz & Hogan attack Taya after the match, but Bravo finally gets off his phone and gets between them.

– Moose is visiting his old coach at high school. He doesn’t have time to go down memory lane as he needs a favor. Has he seen EC3 at all? Nah, Coach hasn’t seen anyone matching the description. Suddenly, he comes out with (like he’s in a trance) “You have been warned”, startling Moose. A guy walks in wearing a hoodie similar to EC3, so he attacks them out of fear.

– Heath unites with Rhino, saying last week was like old times. Rhino tells him they upset management, but what else can they do to get him a job? He knows where Heath can get some serious money for more ads, but he isn’t telling us just yet.

No stipulations were described for the main event, but it’s assumed it is much like an Extreme Rules/No Disqualification match.

#5. [Special Challenge] Eric Young vs. Tommy Dreamer — Winner: Eric Young with the Piledriver

The World Champion carries on with his assault. Rich Swann is out with his crutches and somehow saves Tommy Dreamer! Young is pissed off, he thought he put Swann on the shelf for good. And that concludes this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling. Thanks for reading.
