At the Royal Rumble, AJ Styles suffered an injury when trying to sell a spear from the returning Edge at the Royal Rumble PPV. When Styles tried to sell the spear, he ended up suffering his left shoulder. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE officials wanted him to leave the ring, but AJ reportedly wanted to be formally eliminated.
He is expected to be out of action for around 4 to 6 weeks, which leaves hope that he will be able to return for WrestleMania 36. There’s no word on what plans WWE may have for him by then.
