Earlier this month it was reported that the working plan internally was for WrestleMania 38 in Arlington, Texas to take place over the course of two-nights.
Thus, the show is now scheduled for Saturday, April 2, and Sunday April 3. Originally, WWE announced the event would go down on April 3.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that this has been considered, but it’s not a done deal. WWE is also looking at several ideas for RAW and SmackDown on this weekend.
WWE has talked to AT&T Stadium, the host of WrestleMania, about WrestleMania being held on Sunday and then holding the post-Mania episode of Monday Night Raw there with a setup of 40,000 seats.
Also, WWE will need to find a venue for the Friday Night SmackDown before WrestleMania as they can’t book the show at the American Airlines Center as the Dallas Mavericks have a game that night.
WWE has considered holding RAW and SmackDown on this weekend at Gerald Ford Stadium, which holds 32,000 seats.
