During Saturday’s AEW Worlds End 2023 pay-per-view event, Swerve Strickland (w/ Prince Nana) defeated Dustin Rhodes in a singles contest.

Keith Lee was originally supposed to wrestle Strickland, but he was replaced by Rhodes at the very last minute.

Before the match could begin, Swerve sent Dustin into the barricade repeatedly, drove him into the steel steps, and hit a boot to his skull.

Nana set Dustin’s foot up on a cinder block and Strickland jumped off the apron, stomping Rhodes’ foot against the brick.

The AEW medical team tended to Dustin who refused to give up and headed back to the ring to compete. The referee finally rang the ball to commence the match.

Dustin made a sensational comeback as he pushed Swerve to his limits. However, his efforts weren’t sufficient to put Strickland away who delivered the Swerve Stomp for the win.
